- 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions
- Peel and chop yams into even-sized pieces.
- Boil the yams in water for about 15 minutes until fork-tender.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, then add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup; stir until combined.
- Drain yams, return to pot, and mix with the glaze, then add pecans and bacon.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
