A flavorful cajun shrimp and sausage pasta dish that’s creamy and spicy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced (Andouille is great!)
  • 12 ounces of fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted water until al dente, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, sauté sliced sausage in olive oil until browned.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Add shrimp and seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer until thickened.
  6. Toss cooked fettuccine with the sauce in the skillet.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
