- 1 pound linguine
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes.
- After the pasta is done, reserve about a cup of the pasta water, then drain the linguine.
- Add the drained linguine directly into the skillet with the melted butter and garlic. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Mix in the chopped basil and parsley, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
