A delicious and easy recipe for brown sugar garlic salmon foil packets that keeps your salmon moist and flavorful!

  • Total Time: 30

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets salmon (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving (optional))
  • Vegetables of choice ((like asparagus or bell peppers) – optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Lay out four large sheets of aluminum foil. Place a salmon fillet in the center of each sheet.
  • Spoon the brown sugar mixture generously over each salmon fillet. If you’re adding vegetables, arrange them around the salmon.
  • Fold the foil over the salmon to create a sealed packet, ensuring it’s tightly closed to trap in steam.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or grill for about 12-15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam!) and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
