Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fillets salmon (about 6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Lemon wedges (for serving (optional))
- Vegetables of choice ((like asparagus or bell peppers) – optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Lay out four large sheets of aluminum foil. Place a salmon fillet in the center of each sheet.
- Spoon the brown sugar mixture generously over each salmon fillet. If you’re adding vegetables, arrange them around the salmon.
- Fold the foil over the salmon to create a sealed packet, ensuring it’s tightly closed to trap in steam.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or grill for about 12-15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam!) and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
