Deliciously chewy blondies made with brown butter and fresh apples, perfect for sharing!

  • Total Time: 45

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (for browning)
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith recommended)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Stir frequently to avoid burning it.
  • In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar and browned butter. Mix until well combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let them cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
