A deliciously flaky croissant filled with eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat, topped with sweet honey butter.

  • Total Time: 25

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your preferred choice)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon or sausage patties
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures your croissants will bake perfectly.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined. You want it nice and fluffy!
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Scramble the egg mixture until just set, about 3-5 minutes.
  • While the eggs are cooking, slice the croissants in half lengthwise. If you like, you can toast them lightly to add a bit of crunch.
  • Once the eggs are cooked, layer the cooked bacon or sausage on the bottom half of each croissant.
  • Top the meat with a generous portion of scrambled eggs, followed by the shredded cheese.
  • Cover with the top halves of the croissants, then transfer them to a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • While the melts are baking, prepare the honey butter by mixing the softened butter and honey in a bowl until smooth.
  • Once the melts are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle with honey butter. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired!
