- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and browned.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the bourbon BBQ sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the warm BBQ sauce.
- Slice the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Fill each roll with a few meatballs, topping them with crumbled bacon and shredded cheese.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm!
