A delicious and easy recipe for Boston Baked Cod, featuring flaky cod fillets topped with a crispy breadcrumb mixture.

  • Total Time: 30

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets cod (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon (for zest and juice)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until the breadcrumbs are well coated.
  • In a baking dish, arrange the cod fillets in a single layer. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  • Top each cod fillet generously with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure it sticks.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
