  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and sugar in a bowl, sprinkle yeast on top, and let it foam for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl, then add melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture. Stir to form dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
  5. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans for the filling.
  6. Punch down the risen dough, roll it into a rectangle, and spread the filling over it. Roll tightly into a log.
  7. Cut the log into 12 pieces, place in a greased baking dish cut side up, and pour heavy cream over the top.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
