These chocolate caramel bars are a rich and indulgent dessert, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar of caramel sauce
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • 1 cup of crushed Heath bars or toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and mix cake mix, oil, and eggs until smooth.
  2. Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch dish and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Poke holes in the warm cake and pour sweetened condensed milk over it. Let soak for 30 minutes.
  4. Drizzle caramel sauce over the soaked cake.
  5. Spread whipped topping over caramel and sprinkle crushed Heath bars on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For best results, chill overnight.
  • Can substitute with other types of cake mix or toppings.
