- 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 head butter lettuce
- optional sliced scallions and julienned carrots (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, gochujang, and rice vinegar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade. Mix well to ensure the beef is fully coated. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the beef and toss to combine.
- Take a lettuce leaf and place a spoonful of beef in the center. Add garnishes like scallions and carrots if desired.
- Wrap the lettuce leaf around the filling and enjoy!
