  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • optional sliced scallions and julienned carrots (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, gochujang, and rice vinegar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the sliced beef to the marinade. Mix well to ensure the beef is fully coated. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over the beef and toss to combine.
  • Take a lettuce leaf and place a spoonful of beef in the center. Add garnishes like scallions and carrots if desired.
