  • 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil (for garnish (optional))

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
  • Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, and sprinkle with one cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Add another layer of marinara sauce, followed by the remaining ravioli and ricotta mixture. Top with the last cup of marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
