- 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 package (9 oz) refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh basil (for garnish (optional))
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
- Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, and sprinkle with one cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Add another layer of marinara sauce, followed by the remaining ravioli and ricotta mixture. Top with the last cup of marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
