- 2 (9 oz) packages frozen cheese ravioli
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- to taste Salt and pepper
- for garnish Fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and Italian herbs. Mix well.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli and top with another cup of marinara sauce.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, and marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
