Delicious baked ham and cheese mozzarella sticks that are easy to make and perfect for snacking!

  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 4 oz deli ham, sliced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works great!)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • as needed Cooking spray (or olive oil for drizzling)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Cut the mozzarella sticks in half. Take a slice of ham and wrap it around each piece of cheese, securing it well.
  • Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one bowl, whisk the eggs in a second bowl, and mix the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
  • Coat each ham-wrapped cheese stick in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each stick is well-coated.
  • Place the coated sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray them with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil for that golden crunch.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is gooey. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
  • Once baked, let them cool for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
