- 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
- 4 oz deli ham, sliced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works great!)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- as needed Cooking spray (or olive oil for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Cut the mozzarella sticks in half. Take a slice of ham and wrap it around each piece of cheese, securing it well.
- Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one bowl, whisk the eggs in a second bowl, and mix the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Coat each ham-wrapped cheese stick in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each stick is well-coated.
- Place the coated sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray them with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil for that golden crunch.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is gooey. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
- Once baked, let them cool for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
