  • 1 cup peeled and finely chopped apples
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
  • Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
