- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 ½ cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 medium apple, diced
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt (optional)
- ¼ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.
- Add the diced apple and Greek yogurt, if using. Mix everything until the oats are fully coated.
- Fold in the chopped nuts and chia seeds if you’re using them.
- Cover the bowl or jar with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
- In the morning, give your oats a good stir. You can add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
- Top with additional diced apples, a drizzle of maple syrup, or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
