  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar until evenly coated.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into strips, about 1 inch wide.
  • Place a few apple slices along the center of each strip, leaving some space at the edges.
  • Fold the edges of the pastry over the apples and twist the strip to create a spiral shape.
  • Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with the beaten egg mixed with milk.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as oven times can vary!
