- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (or maple syrup)
- 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (or coconut oil)
- 2 medium apples (peeled and diced)
- 1/2 cup raisins or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and brown sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in the diced apples and raisins or nuts if using.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and set. You’ll know it’s ready when you insert a knife, and it comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
