  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Mix just until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans gently.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
