- 4 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the zucchinis into thin rounds.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.
- In a bowl, combine zucchini, sautéed garlic, dill, heavy cream, and half the cheese; season and mix well.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half the zucchini mixture and half the breadcrumbs; repeat and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding other herbs or spices.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
