This delicious baked salmon recipe features a sweet and savory marinade made with maple syrup and soy sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic to create the marinade.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin side down on the baking sheet and season with salt and pepper; pour half of the marinade over them.
  4. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Brush the remaining marinade on the salmon about 5 minutes before it’s done cooking.
  6. Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes, then garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the salmon is not overcooked to keep it moist and tender.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the marinade by modifying the amount of maple syrup.
