Ingredients

  • 1 pound of flank steak
  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 1 cup of queso cheese sauce
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season flank steak with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  4. Slice the rested steak and add it back to the skillet, then stir in cooked rice and queso cheese sauce.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
