Ingredients

- 1 pound of flank steak
- 2 cups of cooked rice
- 1 cup of queso cheese sauce
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season flank steak with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Slice the rested steak and add it back to the skillet, then stir in cooked rice and queso cheese sauce.
- Serve hot and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute chicken or shrimp for the steak.
- Add vegetables for extra flavor and color.
