- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, spinach, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Drain shells, let cool, and fill each with the ricotta mixture.
- Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, place filled shells, top with remaining sauce and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables to the filling for extra flavor.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving for a nice touch.
