Delicious Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells baked in marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, spinach, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Drain shells, let cool, and fill each with the ricotta mixture.
  4. Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, place filled shells, top with remaining sauce and mozzarella.
  5. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables to the filling for extra flavor.
  • Garnish with fresh basil before serving for a nice touch.
