  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash until smooth.
  3. Combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, vanilla, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into the pie crust placed in a 9-inch pie dish.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until the top is golden brown and set.
  6. Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving warm, optionally with whipped cream.
