Ingredients

  • 2 lobsters (about 1.5 pounds each)
  • 2 dozen clams (littleneck or cherrystone)
  • 4 ears of corn, husked and cut in half
  • 1 pound of baby potatoes, washed
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 2 lemons, quartered
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme and parsley)
  • Old Bay seasoning (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook lobsters for 8–10 minutes until bright red, then cool.
  2. Rinse clams under cold water to remove sand.
  3. In the same pot, boil baby potatoes for 10 minutes, then add corn and cook for 5 more minutes.
  4. Add clams and lobsters to the pot with Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, butter, and lemon wedges; cover and steam for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Serve on a platter or newspaper-covered table for guests to enjoy.
