- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Remove the core of the cabbage and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a skillet, brown the ground meat and drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the meat with rice, diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the chopped cabbage in the slow cooker, add the meat mixture, then layer the remaining cabbage on top.
- Pour tomato sauce over everything.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
