- 2 pounds of beef steak (chuck or sirloin works best)
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by slicing potatoes, chopping onion, and mincing garlic.
- Optionally brown the steak in a skillet for extra flavor.
- Layer sliced potatoes, steak, onions, and garlic in the slow cooker; add soup, broth, and Worcestershire sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the mixture.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir after cooking, top with remaining cheese, and serve hot with parsley garnish if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, browning the steak is recommended, but optional.
- Adjust seasoning according to taste preferences.
