Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef steak (chuck or sirloin works best)
  • 4 large potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by slicing potatoes, chopping onion, and mincing garlic.
  2. Optionally brown the steak in a skillet for extra flavor.
  3. Layer sliced potatoes, steak, onions, and garlic in the slow cooker; add soup, broth, and Worcestershire sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the mixture.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Stir after cooking, top with remaining cheese, and serve hot with parsley garnish if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, browning the steak is recommended, but optional.
