To make your Slow Cooker Korean Beef, you will need the following ingredients:
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the beef in the slow cooker, pour the sauce over, and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Remove beef, shred it with two forks, and return it to the cooker.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, include red pepper flakes.
- Great served with rice or noodles.
