Before you start, gather these ingredients to create your tender brisket masterpiece:
- 3–4 pounds of beef brisket
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the brisket with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Optionally, sear the brisket in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Layer sliced onions and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
- Place the brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
- Whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika; pour over the brisket.
- Cover and slow cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Remove brisket, let it rest for 15-20 minutes, then slice.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, searing the brisket is recommended but not mandatory.
- Letting the brisket rest enhances juiciness.
