  • Total Time: 6-8 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Gathering the right ingredients makes all the difference. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 34 pounds of pork roast
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. If desired, sear the pork roast in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the pork roast in the slow cooker and pour the marinade over it.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  5. After cooking, shred the pork and mix it back into the sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Searing the pork is optional but recommended for added flavor.
  • Fresh herbs can enhance the dish when used as a garnish.
