- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Oil for frying
- 4 hoagie rolls or French bread
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Pickles
- Remoulade sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Rinse and dry the shrimp.
- Set up three bowls for breading: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with the cornmeal mixture.
- Dredge shrimp in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with the cornmeal mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Toast hoagie rolls until golden and warm.
- Assemble sandwiches with lettuce, shrimp, tomatoes, pickles, and remoulade sauce.
- Serve and enjoy!
