Ingredients

- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups of long-grain white rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions
- Sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery in vegetable oil until soft.
- Add sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic and Cajun seasoning, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
- Add rice and coat with pan flavors, cooking for 2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth, bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add shrimp, cover again, and cook for 5 minutes until shrimp is pink.
- Season with salt and pepper, stir, and serve.

- Feel free to adjust the Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
