Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake meatballs for 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté sliced onions until caramelized, then stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Whisk in beef broth and soy sauce, simmer until thickened, then add baked meatballs and simmer together for 5 minutes.

  • For added flavor, let the meatball mixture rest for 10 minutes before forming.
