- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For softer cookies, reduce baking time slightly.
