- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
- ½ cup whole milk, warmed
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup fresh raspberries (or raspberry jam)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm milk and sugar; add yeast and let sit until bubbly.
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl, add the yeast mixture, eggs, and vanilla; stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Incorporate softened butter into the dough until fully combined.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, roll out, spread raspberries or jam, roll tightly, and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- Substitute fresh raspberries with raspberry jam if needed.
