- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup fresh raspberries (or raspberry jam)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl; add warmed milk and eggs.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
- Incorporate softened butter into the dough until absorbed.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Prepare raspberry filling by mashing raspberries with lemon juice.
- Punch down the risen dough, roll it out, and spread raspberry filling.
- Roll the dough into a log and place in a greased pan.
- Let rise for another 30-45 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Can substitute fresh raspberries with raspberry jam.
