Description

Delicious homemade potato nuggets that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of mashed potatoes (leftover or freshly made)
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs (panko works great!)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mashed potatoes by peeling, boiling, and mashing until cool.
  2. Mix mashed potatoes with flour, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until sticky.
  3. Shape the mixture into nuggets and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Coat each nugget in breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry nuggets in hot oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
