Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and pecans, then pour into a greased 9-inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream granulated sugar and remaining butter, then add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then combine with the wet mixture alternately with milk.
- Pour batter over the pecan mixture and bake for 45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate and enjoy.
