  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 large eggs

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the sliced peaches.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan for 30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Beat heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Spread whipped cream over the cooled cake and add extra peach slices for decoration.
