- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound of ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Optional toppings: avocado, salsa, or your favorite sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), remove outer cabbage leaves, and slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick slices.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent, then add ground meat, cooking until browned with seasoning.
- Assemble burgers by placing meat mixture and cheese between two cabbage slices.
- Place burgers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cabbage is tender and cheese is melted.
