- 12 ounces of smoked sausage, sliced
- 8 ounces of pasta (penne or rotini works well)
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) of diced tomatoes
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- Sauté the sliced sausage in a pot over medium heat until browned.
- Add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
- Stir in pasta, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning; season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese.
