A flavorful and hearty chicken and rice dish with a sweet BBQ honey sauce.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Sear chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes on each side.
- Remove chicken and add rice to the pan, stirring for 1 minute.
- Mix honey and BBQ sauce, then add to rice along with chicken broth.
- Return chicken to the pan, bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- Fluff the rice and serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
- Make sure the chicken is cooked through before serving.
- Adjust the sauce ingredients to your taste.
