  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture, stirring gently. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
