- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by combining olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper; coat the chicken and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Cook the marinated chicken in a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes and then slice it into thin strips.
- Assemble the gyros by placing chicken, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion in pita bread, then roll it up.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the chicken longer if possible.
- Serve with extra tzatziki on the side for dipping.
