Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by combining olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper; coat the chicken and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the marinated chicken in a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  3. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes and then slice it into thin strips.
  4. Assemble the gyros by placing chicken, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion in pita bread, then roll it up.
