Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake for about 1 hour until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until golden brown.
  6. Add flour to mushrooms, then slowly stir in beef broth until gravy thickens. Season to taste.
  7. Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing, then serve with mushroom gravy.
