- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of brown sugar

- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cube the day-old bread or toast fresh bread.
- In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, milk, heavy cream, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
- Fold the bread cubes into the mixture and add the chopped pecans.
- Pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, drizzle with maple syrup, and bake for 45-50 minutes until set.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
- Day-old bread works best for texture, but fresh bread can be toasted.
- Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving for easier slicing.
