Instructions
- Whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Pat pork chops dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy; remove and set aside, keeping drippings.
- Sear pork chops in the bacon drippings for 4-5 minutes per side.
- Pour the maple glaze over the pork chops and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to caramelize.
- Chop cooked bacon and sprinkle over the glazed pork chops, tossing gently.
- Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes covered with foil.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme if desired.
