- 1 cup of glutinous rice
- 1 ½ cups of coconut milk
- ½ cup of sugar
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
- Sesame seeds or mung beans for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse and soak the glutinous rice for 1-2 hours.
- Drain and steam the rice for about 30 minutes until sticky.
- In a saucepan, heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
- Combine steamed rice with two-thirds of the coconut sauce and let sit for 20 minutes.
- Serve the sticky rice topped with sliced mango and remaining coconut sauce, garnished with sesame seeds or mung beans.
Notes
- Choose ripe mangoes for the best flavor.
- Can be garnished with either sesame seeds or mung beans for extra texture.
