A sweet and sticky dessert made with glutinous rice, coconut milk, and fresh mango.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of glutinous rice
  • 1 ½ cups of coconut milk
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
  • Sesame seeds or mung beans for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and soak the glutinous rice for 1-2 hours.
  2. Drain and steam the rice for about 30 minutes until sticky.
  3. In a saucepan, heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  4. Combine steamed rice with two-thirds of the coconut sauce and let sit for 20 minutes.
  5. Serve the sticky rice topped with sliced mango and remaining coconut sauce, garnished with sesame seeds or mung beans.

Notes

  • Choose ripe mangoes for the best flavor.
  • Can be garnished with either sesame seeds or mung beans for extra texture.
