Deliciously crispy Parmesan chicken topped with marinara sauce, inspired by Longhorn Steakhouse.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip chicken in olive oil, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Add marinara sauce on top in the last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate in olive oil and spices for 30 minutes before coating.
