  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon zest; beat until smooth.
  6. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture, alternating with limoncello.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn it out to cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Mix mascarpone cheese with powdered sugar and limoncello for the drizzle.
  10. Once cooled, drizzle the mascarpone mixture on top and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
